Current Situation

Yemen is located in the Middle East. Yemen is bordered by Oman and Saudi Arabia. The economy relies mainly on petroleum exports, however predictions are that the supply of petroleum will run out by 2017. It is uncertain what will happen once the petroleum runs out.

(2014) Yemen's economy grew at a steady pace in 2013, however it will be negatively impacted by the drop in the price of oil that occured in late 2014. Also armed insurgencies continue to be a problem in many parts of the country.
