Current Situation

The United Kingdom is located in Western Europe. The United Kingdom is bordered by Ireland. The United Kingdom is one of the largest economies in the world. It is heavily diversified with many well-known large multi-national companies. The United Kingdom has been hit very heavily by the 2008 global recession, with its banks posting massive losses and the government launching a huge stimulus package. The new Conservative coalition of David Cameron, have reversed this spending trend however, and have imposed severe austerity measures in a hope that they can control the country's finances and reduce the huge deficits left by their predecessors.

(2014) The United Kingdom's economy recovered at a steady rate in 2013, and this thrend is expected to continue as the United Kingdom continues to recover from the global recession.
