Mauritius is located in the Indian Ocean. Mauritius is located near several other Indian Ocean nation-states and territories. Mauritius economy has changed from an agriculture based industry into a diversified industrial, financial and tourism based economy. Since this change in the economy the GDP growth rate has remained high.

(2014) Mauritius' economy continues to grow at a steady pace, the good performance of the economy is due to a stable government and this in turn translates into consistent foreign investment.
