Dalia Grybauskaite was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 1956. Dalia Grybauskaite is the current and first female President of Lithuania. Dalia Grybauskaite studied at the Saint Petersburg State University, the Russian Academy of State Service and Georgetown University. Before becoming president following the 2009 presidential elections, she served as a public servant and held some key ministerial posts including Minister of Finance.

He studied at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and also at Kaunas University of Technology. Algirdas Butkevicius was first elected to the Parliament of Lithuania the Seimas in 1996, he was re-elected in 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012. Algirdas Butkevicius served as the Minister of Finance and also the Minister of Transport and Communications. Algirdas Butkevicius became the Prime Minister of Lithuania following the 2012 Parliamentary elections.

Andrius Kubilius was elected prime minister in 2008, he had previously served in this post from 1999 to 2000.
