Biography:


Uhuru Kenyatta was born in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1961. Uhuru Kenyatta is the current and third President of Kenya. Uhuru Kenyatta studied at Amherst College in the United States. Uhuru Kenyatta is the son of Jomo Kenyatta who was the first President of Kenya. Uhuru Kenyatta joined Kenya's Parliament in 2001 and became the Minister for Local Government. Uhuru Kenyatta also served over the years as the Minister of Trade and also as the Minister of Finance. Uhuru Kenyatta ran in the 2013 Presidential elections against Raila Odinga and won in the first round of voting.

Biography:


Mwai Kibaki was born in Gatuyani, Kenya, in 1931. Mwai Kibaki was the third President of Kenya. Mwai Kibaki studied at Makerere University College in Uganda, and the London School of Economics. Before joining politics he worked in the private sector, he was first elected to parliament in 1963. From 1969 to 1981 he served as Minister for Economics, and from 1982 to 1988 he was Minister for Home Affairs and from 1988 to 1991 he was Minister for Health. He was also Vice President of Kenya from 1978 to 1988. Mwai Kibaki ran for the presidency in 1992 and 1997, but failed in both attempts. Mwai Kibaki was finally elected in 2002 and re-elected in 2007.
