Current Situation


Honduras is located in Central America. Honduras is bordered by El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua. Honduras' economy has grown steadily in the last few years. Honduras figures on the list of Heavily Indebted Poor Countries compiled by the IMF.

(2014) Honduras' economy continues to grow although at a slower rate than in past years. The government needs to continue the push to reduce poverty as over half the populatio still lives below the poverty line.
