Biography:


Meles Zenawi was born in Adwa, Ethiopia, in 1955. Meles Zenawi was the Prime Minister of Ethiopia. His education includes studies in medicine at the Addis Adaba University, an MBA from the Open University of the United Kingdom, and a Master of Science from Erasmus University of the Netherlands.

Meles Zenawi was part of the rebel movement opposed to Ethiopia's dictator at the time, Lieutenant Colonel Mengistu Hailemariam. This movement eventually succeeded and he became prime minister for the first time in 1995 and was re-elected in 2000 and 2005. Although the 2005 election created controversy and turmoil. Meles Zenawi died on August 20th 2012 following an illness.
