Current Situation

El Salvador is located in Central America. El Salvador is bordered by Guatemala and Honduras. El Salvador's economy is solid compared to the other nations in the area, El Salvador is also an attractive place for immigrants from these countries.

(2014) El Salvador's economy to grow although at a much slower rate than in the past mostly due to budgetary problems and a reluctance to invest from foreign investors due to the government's corruption. With the election of the former Vice-President of El Salvador Salvador Sanchez Ceren to the presidency in 2014 it is unlikely that more market friendly economic policies for El Salvador will be implemented.
