Biography:


Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic was born in Rijeka, Croatia, in 1957. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic is the 4th and current President of Croatia, she is also the first female President of Croatia. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic studied at the University of Zagreb, George Washington University and also at Harvard University.

Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic began a succesful diplomatic career in 19922 and she served in several high level positions within the Croatian Foreign Ministry. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic was first elected to the Croatian Parliament in 2003 as a member of the Croatian Democratic Union. She eventually became the Minister of European Integration and eventually the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic ran in the 2014 Presidential Elections and defeated the incumbent President Ivo Josipovic in a run-off election.

Zoran Milanovic was born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1966. Zoran Milanovic is the current Prime Minister of Croatia. Zoran Milanovic studied at the University of Zagreb in law.He joined his political party the Social Democratic Party in 1999, He was elected leader of his party in 2007 and in the parliamentary elections that same year his party obtained enough seats to become the official opposition and could of potentially formed the government.

In the 2011 parliamentary elections his party and its coalition partners obtained enough seats to form a majority government. Under his leadership Croatia joined the European Union on July 1st 2013.

Ivo Josipovic was born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1957. Ivo Josipovic was the 3rd President of Croatia. Ivo Josipovic obtained a degree, a master's and a PhD in law from the University of Zagreb. He joined the League of Communists of Croatia in 1980. He left politics for a time, but returned as a representative to the Croatian Parliament.

Ivo Josipovic ran in the 2009-10 presidential elections and eventually won in the second round. He ran again the 2014 elections but this time he was defeated in the second round.

She entered politics in 1995 as a member of the Croatian Parliament, before that she was a popular journalist especially during the Croatian War of Independence. She was named prime minister in 2009 following the resignation of Ivo Sanader.
