Hun Sen was born in Peam Koh Sna, Cambodia, in 1952. Hun Sen is the current Prime Minister of Cambodia. Hun Sen's political career began at the end of the 1970's when he took part in a rebel movement supported by Vietnam, against the Khmer Rouge regime. Following the success of this rebel movement, Hun Sen was named as it's leader in 1985 and became the Prime Minister of Cambodia following this. His party won elections in 1998 and 2005. Hun Sen is criticized for being Vietnam's puppet and also some accusations of corruption have surfaced following negotiations regarding oil and gas concessions.

Hun Sen was re-elected in the 2013 elections which were widely critized by his opponents.
