Current Situation

Belize is located in central America, Belize is bordered by Mexico and Guatemala. The economy of Belize was growing at a steady rate of 2,2%, but was hit negatively by the global recession. (2013) The growth rate has returned to the 2% range, but the government must do a better job to tackle poverty and income inequality in the country.
